New laws taking effect
A number of new state laws are taking effect in Connecticut this year.
A new law makes Connecticut the 16th state in the nation to adopt the Silver Alert system to help find missing adults with dementia and other cognitive impairments. The Silver Alert system was patterned after the Amber Alert system for missing children.
